Prophet-Emperor

Prophet-Emperor (High Secote: ⰒⰓⰑⰓⰑⰍⰟ Ⰹ ⰂⰎⰀⰄⰟⰉⰍⰀ, Prorokŭ i vladyka, 'Prophet and Emperor') is a title applied to the rulers of Great Neritsia from Sobiebor II, who each reigned simultaneously as Universal Prophet and as Emperor of the Vesnites. The position was closely associated with the Neritsovid doctrine of ultragnosis, by which the emperor was held to have inherited access to Knowledge far beyond the capabilities of other humans. The office survived the collapse of the Neritsovid Empire in the Great Imperial Restoration under its final nominal holder, Borovest II, who ultimately relinquished the imperial title to the Terophatic Emperor, Spytihnev III, under the terms of the Lethpol Covenant of 1735, while remaining Universal Prophet until his death in 1750. Spytihnev subsequently attempted to recombine the two positions in the Third Crown War, but voluntarily renounced his candidature for the Prophetic seat at the war's end, rendering their separation permanent.
