Spytihnev I (High Secote: ⰔⰒⰟⰉⰕⰉⰃⰐⰡⰂⰟ Ⰰ, Spytigněvŭ I; 23 Nollonger 1652 – 12 Metrial 1718), known as Spytihnev the Great (Rashimic: ⰔⰒⰟⰉⰕⰉⰃⰐⰡⰂⰟ ⰃⰄⰑⰖⰎ, Spytigněvŭ gdoul), personal name Felix Spytihnev Rozoevsky-Tirfats, was the first restored Terophatic Emperor and founder of the Terophatic Empire, ruling from the Great Imperial Restoration of 25 Dominy 1701 to his death in 1718. Seizing power during the struggle that followed the death of Chistibor, final emperor of Great Neritsia, Spytihnev attempted to consolidate a new universal empire, but was foiled in the First and Second Crown Wars. After 1706 he claimed the title Emperor of the Vesnites. He established the social and political system of early modern Terophan and effected the construction of landmarks such as the Gedhol Yarmoon.
Notes
- ↑ Spytihnev combined two resurrected titles in his person: the position of Tirfatsky Emperor, last held by Mstislav III in 1495, and the title of Standard-Bearer of the Greater West, last claimed by Arouv II in 1611. He also put forward an as yet vague claim as a candidate for the title of Emperor of the Vesnites, previously an office of Chistibor the Last and held during Spytihnev's own reign by Borovest II.
