Bushur Inland Seas

The Bushur Inland Seas are a group of rift lakes located in northern Lestria, primarily in Nation 91. The lakes are located next to the Lestrian Spine, geological activity associated with which probably formed the lakes as well.

Name

The Bushur seas derive their name from a term shared across most of the Saganic languages spoken in the region; bušor in the Kupkaraq language predominantly spoken around the lake's basin. Buš or(lik) and cognates are considered to mean 'empty/futile seed', derived from Sagan mythology in which the lakes' great depth were attributed to their identity as sites of the sky-god Akta's (failed) insemination of the earth-goddess Qara-ana.
