Hejrozor (Rashimic: ⰀⰠⰋⰣⰓⰋⰈⰑⰖⰘⰓ Hějūrěhzouhr, "the-light-setteth-aflame"; 22 Petrial 1945 – 14 Nollonger 1997) was an Anabbine Scholar turned heretic whose writings sparked the eponymous Hejrozine heresy. A brilliant orator and externalist, Hejrozor moved from Anabbah to the centre of the Banner in Terophan, where he became a minor celebrity. Many of his addresses and debate performances at Axopol were televised, some syndicated to other countries in the Vaestic sphere. In the winter of 1985–6, however, he cancelled his arrangements and retreated to his house in Anabbah. He returned to Axopol in Metrial, and in an erratic speech given on 13 Floridy 1986, he claimed to have understood that "all our Knowledge is nothing, and all the sovereigns and emperors mean nothing, there is no authority of Knowledge at all". Hejrozor was detained for psychiatric evaluation soon afterwards, but escaped with the help of friends in the Terophatic government, fleeing to Inner Joriscia. Here he adopted the title 'Restorer of the Vesnites' and issued a "Proclamation of the End of the Old Order" calling for a rebellion against the established order of Vaestism. In the following years, Hejrozor issued a great number of tracts, decrees and recorded addresses which came to be disseminated illicitly throughout Outer Joriscia. In 1997, he underwent a complete mental breakdown and committed suicide.

Though Hejrozor himself never visited Rania, it was there that his heretical teachings first took hold under the direction of the Holy Eastern Disciples of Hejrozor the Prophet, better known as the Restitutors. The original circle of Restitutors compiled the canonical edition of his salient texts, the Apocalypse of Knowledge, and the spread of Hejrozine thought in Outer Joriscia in recent years has followed the dissemination of the Apocalypse.

Thought

Writings

Hejrozor's writings after his conversion are disjointed and fragmentary. They follow a peculiar style, as can be seen in the following extract from his "Proclamation of the Great Revelation" of 1989:

A Proclamation

Vesnites!

Let it be known that I have come across a great revelation. This revelation renders meaningless all the prior history of Knowledge. [...] Let it be known that all Knowledge is one, and moreover that all Knowledge is nothing. This is a great truth. It is moreover a great truth that there cannot be a great truth, for no truths are great. Let it therefore be well understood that such a truth is meaningless, and amounts to precisely nothing.

It amounts to wars such as have never been fought before. The entire history of Knowledge is meaningless before this. The Prophet's corrupt usurpers will be swept away in flames. And I am none other than the Prophet. Let it be known indeed that the Prophet inheres in all [...]

Sealed by the Restorer of the Vesnites.
