New Orangism

New Orangism is a Savamese political ideology that developed from Radicalism in the 20th Century. The central tenet of New Orangism is that the current federal form of the Savamese Empire is inadequate and inefficient with regards to utilitarian maximalisation, leading to a socio-economic system dominated by the vested interests of a small minority at the expense of the greater good; Cairan arguments are also used with respect to the effect of social justice on Cairon. New Orangism is prioritarist in nature. New Orangists proposes to abolish the federal system and replace it with an unitary state, also reducing the number of legislative chambers and controlling the entrenched interests of the nobility. They also advocate for universal suffrage. Many New Orangists are either member of, or associated with the Darnelite Argan.

New Orangism got its first electoral successes in the 1960s and 1970s, and have since been a consistant minority faction within the Parliament of Savam. They have partnered with the Radicals on multiple occasions, as well as more recently taken part in broad coalitions led by Moderates (such as the present governing coalition assembled by Viceroy Camille de Lautrec). They get most of their voters in Occois-Garde and southern Dordanie, as well as some urban centres like Bar (Brocquie) or Belny (Dordanie).

New Orangism is named because its early proponent used the example of the Third Sabāmani Empire as a more desirable imperial model, mirroring how the Orangists focused on the Second Sabāmani Empire for their main argument. Beyond this parallel rhetorical device, and their shared reformist mindset, there is little similarity between Orangism and New Orangism.
