A nuclear weapon is a type of weapon whose destructive power is drawn from nuclear reactions. Nuclear weaponry releases colossal amounts of energy in short spaces of time, producing some of the largest possible artificial explosions. In Vaestic contexts, nuclear weapons are referred to either as metacosmic weapons or, colloquially, as spirit bombs.
List of nuclear-armed nations
The following countries possess operational nuclear weapons (sorted in order of first test):
- Azophin (1950)
- Terophan (1952)
- Agamar (1966)
- Zeppengeran (1973)
- Savam (1974)
- Kiy (1976)
- Lutoborsk (1977)
- Siurskeyti (1981)

Instances of use
Nuclear weapons continue to be tested regularly, and have been used "in wrath" on several occasions since their invention:
Event | Responsible Powers | Years | Region | Casualties1 | Weapons | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Sea of Flames | Azophin Terophan |
1957–58 | Outer Joriscia | 3–5 million dead | Fission-based nuclear shells of 5–20 kt yield delivered by artillery of the following classifications:
|
Began with the nuclear destruction of Reonir in the Makoom event. Led to a global nuclear winter of limited duration, the years without summers. |
Ngababi event | Azophin | 1991 | Massam, Ascesia | 250,000–500,000 dead | 4 Enlightener-class SLBMs delivered from the submarine Ostrobor the Pious, carrying a total of 12 Phantasmagoria of Instantaneous and Wondrous Transcension warheads of 200 kt yield each | |
Dusk War | Agamar | 2000 | Adorac, Ascesia | 500–1,000 dead | One 1.0 Mt thermonuclear bomb delivered by strategic bomber | "Demonstrative" detonation in the Tuwheranui steppe. |
Notes
- ↑ Casualty counts exclude subsequent casualties due to radiation sickness and other long-term consequences of nuclear warfare.
