Old pages that should be refreshed

  • Refresh the political context section of the Quartiles franchise
  • Review what "tying the granting of rights to military service" means, National service (Savam)
  • Orange Revivalism, in particular to make more clear what it is, link it to scientism stuff, and also show how it was essential to re-establishing a "separation" of church and state after the period of the ecclesiarchy by idealising the second empire period
    • also how skepticism helped establishing Abscapit Republics ideologicall grounds ("always doubt the worthiness of the ruler")

New

  • Check that the great rivers in Savam can stop the flow of armies (Poignes is a particularly important tripoint with bridges to cross both Védomagne and Genèstre)
  • Have an ecologist movement inside Cairony which is concerned with industrialisation by non-believers is destroying the world via global warming and so is interested in worldwide conversion (as well as more classical ecological things). -- Naturalism
  • Insert (at relevant time) a fight between government and large corporation on taxes, where the corporation(s) attempt to move profits to other countries to avoid paying taxes and the government forces them to comply by terminating its contracts with them; this sets a precedent that corporation still more or less follow now, avoiding such conflicts by complying -- probably an aristocratic corporation versus a radical government would be the most appropriate situation
  • Slave trade from Ascesia?
  • What happens in Savam in the 1650-1720 period outside of Dordanie and its fights with the Ceresorans?
  • Transfer the info in User:Seb/mont to a table in the montalbian empire page
  • Need to explain on the nobility page the difference between [title] in XX and [title] of as per the note in the Flessandre-Anciens page and how it moved from the first to the second. In early time only the really high level nobles were of and even with some it was still in as this was based on the local parliament electing them to lead the local respublic. Over time as the monarch grew in importance and wealth they transformed the title and associated land into their personal property, hence the of. In savamese: comte en xxx or comte à xxx vs comte de xxx.
  • Note that regions where urban respublics kept more autonomy were first advantaged in early industrialisation but quickly this turned to disadvantage due to too many competitive interests between local forces and central government (laissez-faire creating a stalemate instead of focused efforts) -- this would have encourage movement toward dirigisme later on to compensate for that
  • Need to make new modifications in the pages on colonial empire to include changes in Serinea + expand on events like the war in the 90s
  • Germanic + Celtic influences due to slavery and tribes resettled by the Secote (and some earlier moves as well) on the pages for Savamese language and Savam history
  • Make area where RL piedmontese language is spoken a bit bigger (spoken in Parts of eastern Dordanie + Benovia)

IN PROGRESS

  • Finalise Savamo-Zepnish Alliance
    • Will need to adapt to the new Zep
    • What common interests could have caused the rekindling? -- see if something with the Pact of Clachan could help
  • History of Savam/new ideas
  • Add more about Ceresoran civil war final part in Savam's history
  • Finalise 18th century colonisation section in Savam's history
  • Rework Victoria history as necessary
  • List more scandals in Savam and inject them in the history page (link: Savam/scandals)
  • Finish Darnelite history
  • Need to insert reference to the Tionastrian Empire rise in the 17th-18th centuries and its sea-based conflicts with Messenians in general
    • Up to the Covenant
    • Take over after collapse
  • Changes to Cantaire to make it less of a Savamese client
  • Clarify how Liberalism became strong enough for power to be granted to the bourgoisie without a major revolution - link to troubles during the Reform Wars and possibly inject some localised revolts in this context
    • Great Discontentment = general urban revolution that almost exploded
  • Abscapit Republics
    • the Rebound Republics: page to explain the republics that did not have monarchs during the medieval period (mostly in Savamese area + Elland) and how they came to exist + dealt with lack of monarch -- also note that the "classical" respublic is the 2nd empire one, and that the 3rd empire was already a deviation from it = those rebound republics were heavily influenced by Orangism notably to reject ecclesiarchy

Colony

  • Grand-Sud:
    • "frontier" feel
    • Large parts are military zones or nature reserves that are almost empty
    • "naturalist cairans" communities living in autarky in nature
    • autonomous collectivist communities involved mostly in mining business in the eastern mountains. Last remnant of collectivist communities in Serania after expulsions of those in Felicia (some larger troubles there, with some guerilla wars); some people moved from Felicia there. Survived thanks to deal with federal government. Issues of competition with polyindustrials and corporate miners that want to devellop the mining areas they exploit: instances of violence and mass expulsions of some communities, but also some legal wins for them too -- complex relationship throughout, potential of a few corruption scandals
    • West coast mostly farming, military installations + a few collectivist groups
    • Population concentrated on eastern coast
    • Large mining potential, but less develloped than Felicia or Victoria due to distance from Savam by sea and cost of constructing decent infrastructure through the eastern mountains (Felicia have "holes" in the mountains)
