Elector Schools of Zemay

The Elector Schools (Gergote: rinkimū-mokyklos) are the most senior mokyklos of Zemay's Banner that act as its highest-level administrative divisions (hierarchies). The Schools' Vocation Scholars, who all hold the rank of Protologue, make up ex officio the Elector Scholars of Zemay, who convene as Debates to elect, censure, and if necessary depose the Emperor of Zemay. As political units the Elector Schools possess considerable autonomy, and each School is a prestigious institution of learning in its own right.

There are only 12 'provincial' elector-schools which make up the Zemayan Banner-State; the marshalates of Rasintia and Lause are each represented by 1 elector-school, and Partia contains 2. Finally, the 17th elector-school represents the 'Far Empire', the collection of Zemayan territories in Serania (Vienuma, Sarshen, and New Shalovar) and a number of more assertive estates in areas such as the Lestrian Neutral Zone; the Far Empire's school itself is located in Lesser Pestul's Raudas district.
