The Gastes (Savamese: les Gastes) is the geographic region formed by grouping Middle and Lower Gaste together, essentially covering all the course of the river Gaste from its egress out of Lake Carles to its mouth on the Arcedian Sea coast.

The region is the third element of the Old Sabāmanian Country together with the Cairan Heartland to its west and the Verbian Country to its east. The nomenclature of "the Gastes" is usually only used in the context of historical scholarship about the Sabāmani Civilisation, in other contexts Lower and Middle Gaste remain distinct.
