Ignorance (Vaestism)

In Vaestism, ignorance (High Secote: nevěždĭstvo) is the absence of Knowledge, typically identified by not being a Vesnite.

Non-Vesnite cultures can expect a more nuanced treatment through concepts such as foreshadowing transcension in Vaestic historiography, where despite not knowing or accepting Vaestism they may nevertheless demonstrate Knowledgeable qualities, as well as Crypto-Savantism, where they begin to directly recognise and pursue the merits of Vesnite practices, but have not yet fully submitted.

Ignorance is distinguished from heresy, with heretics practicing corrupt and perverted forms of Knowledge.
